As mentioned in one of our recent announcements, Apple will be introducing new regulations for iOS apps in conjunction with the launch of their "Apple Fitness Plus" digital sports video platform. This would severely restrict bookings of online livestream classes as well as video purchases within the iOS app.

Apple had originally planned to enforce the new regulations at the start of 2021. However, due to COVID-19 circumstances, Apple has now announced these measures will be postponed until June 2021 to give all developer:s more time to adapt their apps according to the new regulations.

What does this mean for all Eversports partner studios?

Contrary to expectations, there will be no restrictions in the iOS Eversports app until probably June 2021, i.e. you can continue to book online livestream classes as well as buy videos without any restrictions! So the good news is that during the lock-downs, your customers can continue to book online livestream classes and videos across all channels without restriction!

Of course, we will keep an eye on how Apple's decisions develop until June 2021 and keep you updated and let you know soon enough if there are any changes in the iOS Eversports app.
