You want to get the most out of your online activities and digital content?

Video on demand allows your customers to attend your studio's activities anytime they want, even outside opening hours. With your Eversports Manager, you can simply offer video recordings of your livestream-sessions or self-produced videos (e.g. videos that you already created in the past).

What types of videos can I offer?

There are two types of video recordings:

1) Self-produced videos

You have recorded a training or yoga practice in the past - independently from any activity in your regular schedule - which is specifically dedicated to a topic and you would like to provide this to your customers? The video library feature allows you to add this video to your studio profile with all relevant information, e.g. level, teacher, category, description in just a few minutes and your customers can access this video for a predefined time period after they have purchased it.

2) Livestream replays

You offer online activities via livestream but your participants can't make it on time to the livestream session and wish to attend at another time? If you record your livestreams, you can simply add the video recording to your video library and it's available for sale for a period of time after the original session has taken place.

Let's look at both video types in details:

1) How can I create an on-demand video?

First of all, in order to use the video library feature, you have to enable the extension in the market first. Simply go to Market and search for the Video library extension. Click on Learn more and activate the feature. The activation is only possible for administrators.

To create a video, go to Videos > New Video.

In the empty video template, ...

  • fill out all mandatory information, e.g. title, description, category, sport

  • add the link where the video is hosted and optionally a password in case you protect your video in the chosen video platform (e.g. Zoom, Vimeo)

  • upload an image as the video's thumbnail

  • select products that you allow the customer to access the video with

    Note: In the current version, it is only possible to link products without participation restrictions with videos, e.g. Unlimited time card, Unlimited membership. Read more about it below.

UPDATE: since December 2020 it is possible to link all products and membership to your videos.

  • define a general price for the video as well as a bookkeeping account

  • and lastly, define how long the video is available to watch after the customer has purchased the video.

The newly created video is now added to the list of videos in the menu option Videos:

2) How can I create a replay of an online class?

First of all, you need to set up the correct bookkeeping account that will automatically be applied to purchases of livestream replays. To do this, go to Settings > Master data and scroll to the section Tax Rates and select a bookkeeping account for purchases of livestream replays:

To create a livestream replay (a video recording from an activity in your regular schedule), go to Activities > Management, search for the activity you wish to offer replays for, and click on Edit in the option menu on the far right:

On the 2nd tab, Rules, scroll down to the section Video Settings and enable Allow videos for this class. Here you can define how long the recording can be purchased and accessed by the customer after the original class has taken place, as well as the price for a livestream replay of this activity.

By saving these activity settings, you have defined all necessary information for recordings of this activity. Now, you only need to add video links for each class you like to offer a recording for.

To do this, go to Activities > Classes/Trainings, search for the appointment and click on Edit appointment in the option menu on the far right:

Activate the video option for this appointment by clicking on Offer a video for this session and add the link to the video (and optionally a password in case you protect your video in the chosen video platform, e.g. Zoom, Vimeo).

The newly created video is now added to the list of videos in the menu option Videos. Also, the video is now added in your widget in the menu option Videos.

Please note: When you create a video recording (replay) of a livestream activity, all unlimited time passes and unlimited memberships, that are connected to the activity at this moment, are also applied to the newly created replay.


How can my customers buy a video?

Videos can be bought ...

  • with a single ticket price

  • are included for free with an unlimited* time card

  • are included for free with an unlimited* membership

  • only with online payment methods

  • via the widget (not via the marketplace)

  • via the mobile apps (iOS, Android)

* unlimited means that customers can participate as often as wished

UPDATE: since December 2020 it is possible to link all products and membership to your videos.

Please note: Videos that have already been purchased cannot be cancelled by the customer as the link to the video is already in his / her possession. If necessary, however, the studio can cancel the invoice in the Eversports Manager as usual under Finances.

In the manager, in the video overview, column Participants, you can see how many customers have already purchased this video:

How can I edit a video?

To edit a video, go to Videos, search for the video you wish to edit and click on Edit in the option menu on the far right:

For self-produced videos, you can edit all information and it will update for newly purchased or previously purchased videos.

For replays of livestreamed activities, you can only edit a restricted amount of information:

  • the description

  • the category

  • the link to the video and the password

  • the image thumbnail

  • the linked products

  • the price

  • the period of availability

Note: if you change something for an activity, e.g. the teacher or the products,

  • newly created replays from this activity will take over the new settings

  • previously created replays from this activity are NOT updated, and you must update the video directly

How can I promote my videos?

There are promotion links to promote your videos. This allows you to link the videos directly on your website or in your newsletter. You can find ...

  • a link for your video library overview in Videos on the top right corner when you click on Share

  • a link for each individual video when you click on Share link in the option menu on the far right of each video

Questions and Answers

What happens when an unlimited product expires?
Videos that have been purchased with an unlimited time card or membership are available to customers in their Eversports profile only until the stated availability period of the video or as soon as the product expires.
Example: A customer owns a "Unlimited Weekly Pass" (valid for 7 days) and purchases a video which is theoretically purchasable for 3 months. However, the video will only be visible in the user profile until the "Unlimited Weekly Pass" expires, i.e. only within the 7 days. Afterwards, she has to buy the video again.

Can I reset video settings?

If the studio withdraws a certain video (switch it off under "Edit appointment") or wants to remove all videos of a certain class from the video library (switch off under class settings), the videos in question no longer appear in the video library. Videos that have already been purchased are of course still available to customers in their customer profile.
